A fun, collaborative art experience!
Celebrate your birthday or special event in a unique and creative new way. Throw an ArtParty!
Most parties are targeted to children, however, adults can request a party tailored to a special group. Family reunions, work parties, work retreats, and birthdays for adults all make great art parties.

So what happens at a typical ArtParty?
Using the wide range of live animals and 3D models at the school, each attendant makes a small canvas painting to take home. The birthday child creates an acrylic on canvas painting made with the help of friends and family. Each child signs the back of the collaborative painting so the birthday child has a wonderful token to remember their special day.
Instruction time is typically a little over 2 hours with another 30-45 minutes for eating food and opening gifts.
Party favors, decorations and food are the responsibility of the participants. Getting a nearby CostCo pizza is a great idea!
Thematic Parties
Thematic parties are also available by request, and are the same cost. Here are a few ideas form recent parties:
Découpage Party
Instead of making acrylic on canvas paintings, kids use multi colored tissue paper and gel gloss medium to make compositions on canvas. Compositions come out very vibrant and colorful. Due to the cost of materials, this party has a surcharge of $50. The image below shows collage paintings made during ArtBridge, a corporate team building event and during a recent party for 12 year old girls and their mothers.
Flower Party
Participants create an arrangement from the many silk flower and vases at Seven Directions and make paintings from what they see.
Animal Party
Working from over 100 live creatures and countless realistic animal models, participants create paintings of a single creature.
Monster and/or Superhero Party
Using the many monsters and superhero action figures in our tub of monsters, participants make a painting of a single creature.
Art Parties are usually scheduled during two blocks on Saturdays, 10AM to 1PM, 2PM to 5PM. Occasionally, Friday and Sunday parties are available.
Pricing
Art Parties are $250 and up. The cost of an ArtParty includes instruction for up to twelve participants with an additional $15 charge for additional people, up to sixteen. Please see the packages below for more details.
Party Packages
Basic
Cost: $250, materials included
Each child creates a 9" X 12" acrylic on canvas painting and the birthday child creates a collaborative 16" X 20" canvas.
Deluxe
Cost: $275, materials included
Each child creates a 11" X 14" acrylic on canvas painting and the birthday child creates a collaborative 16" X 20" canvas. Larger collaborative canvases are also available.
Super Deluxe
Cost: $300, materials included
Each child creates a 12" X 16" acrylic on canvas painting and the birthday child creates a collaborative 18" X 24" canvas. Larger collaborative canvases are also available.
Ultimate
Cost: $350, materials included
Each child creates a 12" X 16" acrylic on canvas painting and the birthday child creates a collaborative 30" X 40" artist grade canvas. Artist grade canvases have a 2 inch cradle (side of the painting) and are considered museum quality. Please check ahead as these larger canvases are in limited supply.
